Energy Efficiency Policy Fellowships (DOE)

TOPIC: The Department of Energy is inviting applications for the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Science and Technology Policy (STP) Fellowships, which enable scientists and engineers with relevant energy technology experience to participate in policy-related projects at DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in Washington, DC. Two levels of Fellowships, Fellows and Senior Fellows, will allow both recent graduates and experienced scientists and engineers to participate. Fellows will be assigned to policy-related projects and be mentored by senior EERE staff.

FUNDS: Stipend levels will be commensurate with experience, beginning with $56,857 for a Masters-level fellowship, $74,872 for fellows with a Ph.D., and a stipend for Senior Fellows based on the number of years after receipt of the graduate degree. The fellowship also offers health insurance and additional allowances.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, or be eligible for a J-1 visa. Fellows are recent Masters or Ph.D.
graduates who have held a graduate degree for less than three years at the time of application. Senior Fellows are Masters or Ph.D. graduates who have held a graduate degree for more than three years at the time of application and have post-degree experience in a technical or research capacity.
